This zombie game was coming out near Halloween, so we turned the email into a trick or treat game. Gamers had to click on the email that said "don't ring the doorbell" and when they did they were attacked by even more emails that contained tricks or treats. No one in their right mind would click, right? Wrong. Dead wrong. We had a 92% open rate even on the third trigger.
